Legacy #5
This is a new recording of my old recording of Legacy #5, a song I did on my first CD "A Dichotomy of Silence" back in 2003 and wrote in 1983. I was never completely satisfied with it, because it was not my vision. I lacked the equipment and access to players to do with it what I envisioned. Now that I CAN do those things, the song is fully realized. Stacey Knights provides her incredible flute tone, and I'm playing the drums, bass, keybaords and guitars.
This song also marks the debut of a couple of new toys:- One is Pianoteq. It is, in my opinion, the finest piano sound on the software market. It is not sampled, it is MODELED. You can control things like string length, hammer bounce, how present the sound of the sustain pedal is, lots of things you simply cannot do in a sampled piano. Plus, its lightning quick, instead of many GB of samples, the entire program is about 64MB. The other is Hollywood Strings Gold, which is the most amazing string sample library I've ever encountered.
