ABOUT PHIL

Picture
Phil has been a musician for about 35 years. He plays drums, bass, keyboards, and guitars. Phil's early influences that pointed him toward the Jazz world include Chuck Mangione, Pat Metheny, Yellowjackets, Spyro Gyra, Tim Weisberg, and the Bob Mintzer Big Band. Phil is also heavily into Harry Connick Jr., and many independent artists. Being an indie himself, Phil is a staunch advocate of the independent music community. Most of you buy records, and don't even realize how many thousands upon thousands of musicians, singers, and songwriters there are that have every bit of the talent, drive, and skill of the mainstream music community, but they just haven't found the right break. Go to my Likes page to see and hear some of the AMAZING talent that is out there, just not in your local record store. Phil lives in St. Petersburg Florida. Phil and his lovely bride Bonnie share their house with their fantastically cool daughter Abby, and 3 furry critters of the feline persuasion, Tigger, Scooter, and Sunshine.

Phil is originally from Syracuse NY,  He went to Liverpool High School in Liverpool NY, where an intense love of music was fostered and developed. He went to Onondaga Community College, graduating in 1985 with a degree in Radio/Television production.
